How Retailite & Studio Grayscale Tackled Limited Retail Space Challenge

A Case Study On Thurley's New Store

Thurley is a well-known brand in Australian luxury wear which presents a contemporary range of wardrobe essentials, luxurious daywear and other accessories. Retailite and Studio Grayscale were recently engaged to provide an innovative concept design and retail lighting scheme for the new Thurley store.

Thurley had secured a lease on The Strand Arcade in Pitt Street Sydney with a space of approximately 30m2. The challenge for Studio Grayscale was to create a new store concept that could showcase their product in the best possible light, within an elegant and considered space. The store included two fitting rooms, garment rails, a sales counter, and smart storage solutions.

Another challenge was to maximise product display within the space, but still maintain an uncluttered and elegant aesthetic.

The product display and storage requirements also provided a challenge – to produce clever and innovative ways of creating storage and display solutions that appeared seamless.

For this purpose, a subtle LED wall up-lighting behind the product bays and track-lighting for highlighting the merchandise was required.

Retailite worked closely with Studio Grayscale and Thurley to supply the retail lighting solutions including track lighting (Cilindro 65mm) and LED wall lighting. Retailite also advised on the best lighting solutions for the space to ensure all lighting worked together in unison, where the same colour temperature highlighted the product and created a sophisticated ambience.
